Are you just starting to learn how to type? Or, how about
this: Do you ever run into any difficulty when you're typing? For instance, do you ever accidentally hold a key down for too long and then all the sudden, you end up with a line of the same letter? (You know, something like dddddddddddddddddddddd, etc). This kind of thing happens all the time, but luckily, there is a way to fix it. To change the way Windows handles any repeated keystrokes
on your keyboard, you'll need to use the FilterKeys feature. To get there, go to Start, Control Panel and click on the Accessibility Options link. Click Accessibility Options again and then go under the Keyboard tab. In the middle, you will see the FilterKeys area. Checkmark the box that says "Use FilterKeys" to activate it. You can then click on the Settings button to add your own preferences to it. You can either set the FilterKeys to "Ignore repeated
keystrokes" or you can have it "Ignore quick keystrokes and slow down the repeat rate." I personally like the first choice, but choose the one that's going to work the best for you. Click OK twice when you're done. Now, I want you to keep in mind that the FilterKeys option may not be good for everyone, but if you're just beginning to type, it will be a good starting point for you. Ever notice that stress makes you breathe different?
Stress instantly changes the flow of oxygen into your body.
Stress related rapid, shallow breathing is a primitive survival mechanism to help prepare you to fight or run. This is great if you are being chased by a tiger. But it is
not so great when it becomes part of chronic high stress .
Breath control is a key to instant stress reduction, and is an excellent stress management tool. The Problem: You can survive for several weeks without
food, and for days without water. But life ends in minutes without oxygen. You have an estimated 75 trillion cells in your body, and each of these tiny cells needs a supply of oxygen to do its work. You normally breathe between twelve and sixteen breaths a
minute. But when you are experiencing high stress, your breathing may become so rapid you might even start to hyperventilate. In some cases, your breathing may even stop momentarily to give your body a chance to recover. Here is what you need to know: When you become caught up
with such rapid breathing, you are only using the uppermost portions of your lungs. This can only result in very rapid shallow breathing, and often becomes hyperventilation. Shallow breathing triggers a vicious cycle in which your
stress level will become even higher. Shallow breathing can even cause distressing chest pains simulating those connected with heart attacks. Continued shallow breathing causes your anxiety levels to
rise, your physical and intellectual performance to diminished, and your sleep to become disturbed. Even your vision can become disrupted vision, creating hallucinations and sensations of unreality. Shallow breathing is a primitive mechanism for survival,
and gives us the ability to prepare to fight or run. But since we rarely actually have to run or fight, we do not use up the adrenaline and noradrenalin being released into our bloodstream. This causes our physical tension to become chronic. The Solution: The bottom of your lungs have the most blood
flow, so it's important to get as much air down to the bottom of the lungs as possible. Slow deep breathing gets air to the plentiful blood vessels in your lower lungs, and gets balanced gases into your bloodstream. This helps your brain stimulate the production of the
mood-boosting endorphins that help control your emotions, moods and motivation. So do make it a point to control and reduce your stress
using the tool of deep breathing. Deep slow breathing will not only help reduce your tension, it will also give you a much greater sense of personal control, and a solid feeling of physical and mental well-being. http://www.quantum-self.com ~~~~~~~~~~~

Now that we've taken a look at what might be considered the
down- side of working for yourself, let's talk about the upside, using the same sub-headings, because as I said in Part I the Entreprenurial Spirit is very exciting. The Independence of Individualism. It takes a while to get going on the Net but it's amazing how quickly good relationships can develop. Our need for being social has some unexpected and very rewarding twists - like being in steady communication with like-minded people. This in and of itself is worth its weight in gold and when you add global relationships to the equation, WOW! In an office environment you are likely surrounded by people of your own background and nationality (notice I didn't say race or creed). On the Net, you can be speaking to anyone from anywhere! It's such a terrific feeling knowing knowing you are sitting at your desk 'talking' with someone half way round the world who's facing your same daily challenges. It's also awesome. To be able to toss ideas back and forth in an open, mutually-understanding way is simply great. The Security of Structure. Many people don't have any idea just how much they have to contribute. In an office setting there are rules, regulations & hierarchies. These often suffocate our ability to stretch & grow because we are discouraged from going beyond the boundaries. Sure, if you're a 'whippersnapper' you might take a few chances, but let's face it, most stick to the rules, whatever they are. Do you ever find yourself in a position where you'd like to
take a stand but feel handcuffed? You may not be the most aggressive person but you have valuable thoughts & ideas. You know in your mind & heart they are reasonable, sensible & may even produce higher quality results. Unfortunately, you also know that suggestions from those not in a leadership position are often met with rejection. You may not know it, but you've got more to give than you presently realize - and need to be 'unleashed'. This is Your Time! The Disturbances of Distraction. Anyone who's taken their growth to the next level is going to be met with a myriad of reactions from others. Some will champion your efforts. Some will be petty. Some will be irritating simply because they don't 'get it' that you need to be left alone to do your thing. But, even as you consider all this, you realize your need to personally develop outweighs everything else which means you are ready to tackle these dilemmas! Here's a good way to handle it. From the beginning inform any and everyone who is involved with your life what your plans are. Explain this isn't 'some hobby' or an excuse not to go to work like everybody else. You are building a business which means you are not available from (pick your hours). Unless it is an emergency you request not to be disturbed with things that can wait -
then enforce it. This may take a few times, but it's worth it. Don't sabotage yourself by trying to 'make amends' for your lack of availability by having lingering coffee-chats or lunches one or two days then disappearing the rest of the time. It sends mixed signals. Don't offer or let yourself be pressured into babysitting because your own kids are in the house. You'll become an easy target but more importantly, if you are going to have someone else's child or children in your home then you have a responsibility to watch them. You can't close the doors & work, too. It isn't fair & it isn't right. How can you focus when you're referencing children, anyway? Of course, use common sense. We all need each other & there may be times your help really is needed & vice versa. Just try to avoid being taken advantage of. The Nit-picking Nuisance of Name-Calling. Get Ready & don't lose your Sense of Humor! Budding Entrepreneurs have been called everything from lunatics to smart-alecks to greedy to selfish to you-name-it. It just comes with the territory. People who don't or can't think outside the box are bewildered (to put it kindly) by those who do. Some will speculate that the 'real' reason you changed directionis because you were fired from your job. Some will'manufacture' an illness like depression or even a mild stroke - even those you may have discussed your intentions with for months. It's their way of coping with change. But then there will be some who may be envious that you didn't just THINK about carving our your own destiny but went ahead and DID something about it. Actually, for them, you are a very inspiring individual so concentrate on that crowd. You can't change people so don't let anyone change you. The best way to handle it is to not talk about your aspirations to those who CAN'T handle it. Easy? No, but essential because whether they either don't or won't or refuse to understand, the narrow-mindedness will drag you down. Think of things like this: we are surrounded by business people. Doctors, Clergymen/women, Authors, etc., etc. If any of these folks needed time alone to help fight/cure a disease, prepare a Sunday Sermon, concentrate on writing a new chapter, wouldn't it be perfectly understandable? Well, you're trying to build not just a business but a better quality of life - what's the difference? Go for it, friends! The Internet is a level playing field. How educated you are doesn't matter. What you do or do not have doesn't matter. Who you know doesn't matter. Your race, religion, creed - none of that spoils your chances of success. Ready to leap into Netrepreneur? Wonderful! You are about to embark on a very exciting journey. Make the most of whatever happens because life isn't a dress rehearsal. We only live once & that can be plenty if we take our lives into our own hands because when all is said & done, your personal happiness & contentment is something you CAN control. ===================================== Clue # 393 - We have been called everything from lunatics to

The use of blog carnivals is still fairly minimal in
comparison to many of the major tools used to drive targeted traffic. Use of these carnivals can benefit both the submitters and the hosts in a variety of ways. The article being presented will look at the benefits of both roles in the world of blogging. Submitting single entries into blog carnivals will bringan
increase in traffic in a short period of time. The traffic increase will not necessarily be in the hundreds or thousands range however, the increase will make it worth you while to take the time to submit. The submissions will create one way links to your blog and will increase your pool off possible readers. New blogs will be given potential notoriety amongst many well established blogs. The second option which is preferred is to host a blog
carnival. Hosting a blog carnival does not require too much work on the part of the blog owner as Google accommodates the user by presenting all of the submissions in html coding just prior to the carnival. If you are not feeling overly creative you can simply cut and paste the html into your blog. Often times the blog host will write a short preemptive piece regarding the upcoming blog to entice readers to revisit the site on the day of the carnival. As a carnival host you will also have the option to present
your own products or services to the carnival readers. If your blog has been on the web for some time, then chances are you at least have some affiliate links or banners, these will be viewed by each reader that drops by your blog. The more interesting your carnival topic the higher the number of readers and the greater the chances of someone donating or purchasing from the blog host site. The most important tip you can have is to make sure your
carnival, blog entries, affiliates and products are all related to a similar theme. The increased possibility of a sale is not the only benefit
to hosting a carnival. If you have an opt in box on your blog you may see an increase in your subscribers. Readers that become aware that you are hosting may sign up to receive an update anytime the blog is updated and the carnival posted. As you build your opt in list you may be able to convert your subscribers into customers at a later date. Submitting and hosting carnivals should not be your only
arsenal for traffic generation, rather, it should be used as one of several. As a blog owner, you will need to continue to produce quality content to keep your readers and to establish yourself as an expert in your field. sign on the computer, is check your email. If you use an offline mail reader such as "Eudora" or "Outlook", why not start that program automatically when you start the computer, and set it to automatically get your mail. You of course can do this with any program you wish. To start a program each time Windows starts
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar &
Start Menu. 2. Click the Start Menu Programs tab. 3. Click Add, and then click Browse. 4. Locate the program you want to start, and then click it. 5. Click Next, and then double-click the StartUp folder. 6. Type the name that you want to see on the StartUp menu, and then click Finish. 7. For a really successful website or blog, you need to spend
some time working on ways to get traffic to it. The more web visitors to your website the better whether you are blogging for fun, publishing information, or selling a product. There are a lot of different ways to get traffic to your website. The most common ways of getting web traffic are backlinks, pay per click ads, and search engines. Let's go over each of these methods for improving web traffic to your website or blog. Traffic from Search Engines
Getting listed in the search engines is one of the best
ways to generate traffic to your site. To get listed in the search engines, they must first know that your site exists. Each search engine works a little bit differently but in general, they must learn that your site exists so they can "crawl" or "spider" your site. Crawling (or spidering) is when a search engine finds your site, it will follow the internal links you have on your pages to find the other pages on your site. So, be sure to have internal links to all of the pages you want to get indexed in the search engines. It is also a good idea to have a sitemap with all of your
pages listed. To get the search engines to know that your site exists, you need to either submit the site manually to the search engines or have another site that is already listed in the search engines to link to your site. When the search engines find the link on another site, they will follow it to your site. This is the fastest way to get listed in the search engines. Pay Per Click Traffic
Even though it is not free, pay per click traffic can be
very effective in getting visitors to your site and based on the content of your site and the keywords you select, you may be able to get a lot of traffic at a very low cost. When using pay per click ads, you basically pay everytime someone clicks on your ad. The cost typically ranges between pennies to several dollars per click depending on the keyword popularity and the amount of competition for those keywords. Most of the search engines have some sort of pay per click program. Pay per click ads will get you traffic almost immediately after you put the campaign online. Backlinking Traffic
Another great way for getting traffic to your site is by
having other websites link directly to yours. This also boosts how high your website shows up in search engine listings. The more links you can get to your website from other websites, the better. In fact, each link you get back to your website is like a "vote" for your site as the search engines see it. In addition, some votes are worth more and are weighed more heavily than other votes. That's a pretty noisy subject, isn't it? So, what's all
the excitment! I'll tell ya ... The Holiday Selling Season has arrived on the Net! It's that happy-making, glorious time period when the MAJORITY of people make the MOST money they will all year! How's THAT for a reason to get excited? But I warn you...it's also the most impossibly competitive season on the Net, too. Let's talk about the good stuff...the potential money you can make - which is, frankly, ALOT! If building downlines and/or lists is what you crave, you won't find a better time to get it done! We've come to a time when people will be clamoring for extra income opportunities, creative programs to join, things to pamper themselves & their loved ones, home-enhances, pet supplies - you name it! For many, the end of the year signals a dramatic sense of wanting to change direction, meaning they want to start a new chapter in their lives. Some folks already have a plan in mind about what they want to do. Could be they've developed a unique product. They'll need help in getting it out to the masses. Do you have a way to help them? But new business ventures are important to those involved, whether they come as originals or want to go the affiliate route, you can bet that they'll turn to the Internet to search for any & all ways to get them off the ground. Will you be ready to greet them? Now, more than ever, you need to prepare yourself simply because your competition will be more wicked in 2008 than it's ever been! That means... You are going to NEED (not just want) great exposure. You are going to WANT appealing ads that won't trigger the dreaded Delete key. (Keep in mind the ton of email that will fill up inboxes; it limits patience). You are going to HAVE to be totally dedicated to your business(es)! Even as you try to 'demolish' your competition, respect it for what it is. The Net is not a walk in the park; it's a huge monetary ocean filled with sharks who want their share, and maybe yours, too. If your website reads sloppy, you'll be shooting yourself in the foot. All the bells & whistles won't mean a thing if your site is confusing - or worse, makes someone feel suspicious. Sometimes too much activity is just that - too much! If your ad campaigns don't work, change them! Why on earth continue with doing-nothing-for-you ads? If you need help creating ads that activate curiosity & motivation, get it. If you want to be taken seriously, then show it! If you want to be successful, give it all you've got! Human beings are creatures of habit. By that I mean, even in this economy people are going to spend! Sure, they may do so more cautiously, but they are not going to give up the satisfaction that comes with spending money on those they care about, or themselves. The next few months can make a vast difference in your financial picture. This is NOT the time to pinch pennies or try to 'coast'. This is the time of Action - and that means making small sacrifices for the larger good. The fact is that Millions of dollars will change hands this Holiday Selling Season. By Sharon Housley Website usability is more than just a good navigational
structure. A large number of people have visual or hearing disabilities, so you should design your website in ways that allow those with either minor or significant impairments to view and navigate your web content. The following tips will help expand your website's usability so that all users, regardless of their sensory perception and abilities, are able to take advantage of your web content... 1. Images
Include "alt text" for any images on a webpage. The alt
text should accurately describe the image. The visually impaired will often use screen readers to discern what the images are, and their screen reader will read the alt text and tell them what the image is. 2. Transcripts
Any audio recordings should have transcripts available.
Hearing impaired individuals can then read the transcript to learn what is contained in the audio recordings that are available on the website. 3. Contrast
Website colors should be easy to discern, and contrasted so
that they stand out. Keep in mind that different monitors will display colors slightly differently. As such, usability research suggests that you should play it safe and stick with websafe colors. Even individuals with minor visual impairments may have difficulties in discerning subtle color differences, so use contrasting colors to highlight important information. 4. Scanable
Write your web copy in a way that makes it easy for
visitors to scan. Use bulleted lists and bold headlines to assist with the web content's readability. 5. Captcha
In addition to a visual captcha code, provide an optional
verbal captcha code that can be "played" and listened to thru the visitors speakers. If someone has difficulty with their vision, discerning the characters in a captcha code can often be an exercise in frustration and futility. Providing an audio version of the captcha code will greatly assist visitors with visual impairments. 6. Type Face
Avoid using very small font sizes or overly ornate font
styles. The more standard sans-serif fonts are much easier to read by most users. 7. Obvious
Make links and the website's navigational structure
obvious. 8. Consistent
Keep the navigation present and consistent throughout the
entire website, so users know where to look for recurring options without having to search for them on each page. 9. Avoid Animation
Animated graphics can also be a challenge for visually
impaired individuals. If animation is not a critical component of your message, avoid using it in your web design. Animated graphics are distracting, and often aggravating for individuals with focal impairments. 10. Text Only
Many webmasters offer a text-only or "print-friendly"
version of important web content. Consider this as an option, as it will help those with text readers to completely understand and comprehend your website. Ultimately, a webmaster's goal should be to make their
website accessible and usable to as many visitors as possible. With minor website changes, webmasters can be assured they are not accidently or unintentionally excluding the disabled population. About the Author:

It is a major pain if you are forwarding an email you
received that shows all the addresses to your list and it includes all the email addresses of the original mailing plus yours. Think about it – all you need is two or three inconsiderate folks doing this and you might have to wade through several hundred email addresses to read a three line joke. It really only takes a few seconds to highlight all that
