The type of memory we're referring to is called RAM (Random
Access Memory). RAM is the temporary working memory that
your operating system, programs and documents use to keep
your computer running. Over the years, the amounts of RAM
that most computers have has grown considerably. It used to
be that 32 or 64 MB was plenty, but these days, if you
don't have at least 512 MB, you're going to think your
computer died.
 
When you're using different applications on your computer
all at the same time (for example, you're checking your
e-mail, listening to some music, loading a game, etc.),
they are all fighting for enough RAM to be able to run for
you. As you can see, if you don't have enough RAM to
accommodate all your programs, you're going to run into
some problems. Your computer sometimes grabs some of your
virtual memory to keep things going, but that is much less
efficient than actually having the right amount of RAM on
your computer. Now if you only run one program at a time,
you shouldn't have a problem, but if your computer has been
acting funny lately, adding some more RAM should put it
back in top performance.

Why Vision is Our Most Powerful Reality Creation Tool

Take a moment to look around you with open eyes. Unless you
are physically blind, you clearly see the reality lying
immediately outside yourself. You can see the furniture
around you, the walls of the room, the view out the
windows, other people who are present, etc.
 
When you close your eyes, on the other hand, images and
thoughts unrelated to the physical reality around you tend
to flow through your mind. Your imagination can take you
far beyond the limits of space and time. You may revisit
the past in memories, or preview possibilities for the
future.
 
Most people attach little importance to such inner visions.
And along these lines, you may have been taught as a child
that "Seeing is believing." In other words you need to
physically see something with your own eyes in order to
believe it is real.
 
But there is now solid scientific evidence that we actually
create our reality with our beliefs and not the other way
around. Researchers around the world have now clearly
proven that thoughts have a very real physical reality and
actually cause things to happen in the physical world. We
now know from quantum physics, for example, that subatomic
particles physically manifest IF there is someone there to
observe them.
 
The new attitude that has been adopted by truly successful
people today is: "Before you can see it, you have to
believe it." This approach views the act of achieving
success as based on FIRST creating a vivid, clear future
vision of your desired reality. That "What you see, is what
you will be."
 
**What's the Real Truth? This new view is actually a modern
twist on the visualization tool recommended by almost all
success mentors. We've long been told that if we practice
seeing something in our mind's eye, it will actually
manifest in our lives.
 
I have a solid training in the scientific method, and this
dependence on *belief* disturbed me for many years. I
wanted to know the real truth behind the process of
visualization: How and why does it work? And just why is it
so powerful?
 
**The Power of Visual Programming Early on in my
pre-medical studies I discovered an important clue: Our
eyes are actually a direct extension of our brain. The
Optic nerve that runs from the back of your eyes provides a
*direct* connection to your visual brain. As a result,
vision is our most powerful mental programming tool.
 
Then later I uncovered yet another key. My early EEG
biofeedback experimentation immediately revealed the
physical reality of a thought, and how it can influence our
physical reality.
 
More recent research has provided actual real-time pictures
of how the brain creates new neural connections based on a
thought and the fact that repeat the same thought
(especially when backed by a visual involvement) physically
strengthens the neural network containing that thought.
 
It has become apparent that our vision (both real and
imagined) is intimately connected to the creation of our
individual reality or *vision* of the world and our part in
it. There are actually two components of such visual-based
mental programming: Passive, and active.
 
**Passive Visual Programming Passive visual programming
happens every moment of your life, and has been since
birth. Your subconscious mind is actually a repository of
every image you have seen since childhood. This is why it
is so important to take an active role in what you will
expose yourself (and your children) to.
 
Consider this: What about the thousands of images you see
on your TV and computer? Your subconscious mind cannot tell
the difference between what is real, and what is imagined.
So those realistic TV images of are actually being stored
in your brain as reality.
 
You can be certain this is affecting your behavior and
social expectations. In other words, what you see really is
what you get, regardless of whether you know it consciously
or not.
 
But you can also be just lying on the sofa or commuting to
work, and what you are visualizing internally has an
equally powerful impact.
 
If you spend your mental-time-off reviewing your fears and
problems, you are actually adding the power of
visualization to strengthen the neural networks related to
your problems. By allowing yourself to passively visualize
a poor outcome to a business deal, you are in fact setting
the stage for just such an outcome. Passive visualization
works with uncanny power and accuracy.
 
**How Active Visual Programming Works On the other hand, by
actively choosing to replay a vision of a positive outcome,
you set the stage for a more successful result. And the
more actively you engage actual visual images during this
process - the more powerful your final results will be.
 
This process applies to anything from making a successful
sales call or performing well in an athletic event to the
effective motivation of your teammates and children.
 
Here is a real-life example of the power of active visual
programming at work: A field and track athlete I worked
with a few years ago wanted to blast past a performance
plateau. We will call him Gino. Gino was a very bright
fellow, and had tried everything he and his coach could
come up with.
 
His problem, according to his coach, was that he *thought
too much.* When I tried to introduce Gino to visualizing
improved performance, he got stuck analyzing instead of
visualizing. I had to find a way to sneak past Ginos
extremely fast mind with some new images.
 
I decided to try an experimental approach, and borrowed
some videos of his performing. I had Gino watch the videos
in *real time* and picture himself in action. Then I
increased the playback speed until he had difficulty
describing exactly what he was seeing.
 
Then I replaced the videos with footage of top world class
athletes performing his events and instructed Gino to just
picture himself on the screen. But this time I ran the
images so fast Gino could not describe the images. All he
*saw* was a blur he was incapable of logically analyzing.
 
At the end of two weeks I went to the track to personally
observe a performance test Ginos coach had arranged. None
of us were sure about the outcome. The results were
amazing. Several subtle, but very powerful, changes had
occurred in his style. He effortlessly set three personal
bests that evening all without *thinking* about how he did
it.
 
This powerful tool does not just apply to athletic
activities. It can be applied to any aspect of your
personal or business life.

With our economic climates, we could talk about things like
belt-tightening.  Our concerns, after all, are BIG!  But
today, we're going to talk about the Net & how it impacts
those very concerns.
 

I love the Net, but am well aware this environment is
littered with people who couldn't give a damn about your
circumstances.  Yet, they're always thinking about them -
and how that will line their own pockets.  In fact, the more
you need, the more they want you.
 

In polite circles, they're called Scammers.
 

Most of us are decent, have a conscience & aren't interested
in taking advantage of anyone.  Scammers have no conscience.
Their god is their bank account receipts, principles allude
them, their waking hours are spent dreaming up ways of
taking from those who have the least to take from, and they
sleep well.
 

Scammer alerts are important for all of us but even moreso
to the millions who enter the Internet Universe, full of the
same high hopes & dreams we all have, but (unaware) are
potential victims.
 

Scammers are equal opportunity folks who sit back & analyze
who is a potential lamb to their wolf.  Don't think you're
too smart or too savvy to be put in harm's way.  Anyone can
fall prey & there are plenty of smart, savvy people who can
testify.
 

Don't underestimate scammers, either.  They are con artists
expert in taking it to the upper echelons.  They know you
are up late at night worrying about bills, clothing &
educational needs, getting the car fixed, how to make the
next birthday a little special - and all the rest of it.
 

The sad truth is that scammers rely on that desperation to
keep them floating in money by dazzling you with what you
CAN have if only you'd follow them down the yellow brick
road. They read our posts, buy mailing lists & know who is
a good candidate to approach, based on certain behavioral
signs as:
 

* You excitedly respond to ads telling you not to worry
about being lazy because they'll do all the work.
 

* You eagerly send 'good faith' money.
 

* You respond to nonsense about propelling you to
millionaire status - or six months, at most.
 

* You pay so much attention to what you DON'T have you're
are willing to do just about anything to 'ensure' you DO
have.
 

* You believe the fairy tales about getting something for
nothing. (If you remember nothing else, remember this: 
there is NO FREE LUNCH on the Net.  You want success? 
Great - but you'll have to work & sacrifice for it just like
anyone else).
 

The only way to rid ourselves of scammers is by paying close
attention.  There are plenty of honest ways to make money -
but it's the scammers 'duty' to keep that stuff away from
you.  How?
 

* By distracting you with web sites featuring every bell,
whistle, arrow & animated figure known to man.
 

* By very persuasive language & lofty promises hard to
resist.
 

It isn't enough to laugh at scammers, because chances are
they are laughing at you figuring you'll fall for anything.
If not, they're on to the next guy.  They're counting their
money while you're counting sheep to fall asleep.
 

The next time you see anything offering to do the work but
pay you, anyway, think realistically about it.  Does your
employer hand over a weekly paycheck to a co-worker just for
showing up?
 

If something sounds too good to be true, maybe it is but
maybe it isn't.  Ask questions!
 

Read the helpful information & articles in your favorite
newsletters/ ezines, especially if they've been around a
long time.  They provide an essential service you benefit
from because they know what's going on out there.  If there
are short-cuts to success, they know what's 'real' and
what's not.
 

I love working on the Net & it doesn't matter in the least
if I end up super-wealthy.  All I ask is what it's done: 
a chance to increase my income, make some great
acquaintances & enjoy a few extra creature comforts...right
up there with many others who want the very same thing. 
If we have to work for our money, that's okay.
 

And that's okay for you, too.  Honest.

almost irresistible. The larger your portfolio of affiliate
products the more you will begin to feel like oil over
water in your marketing attempts. The road to success can
be paved more smoothly if you incorporate these tips.
 
Begin your internet marketing campaign by selecting no more
than three affiliate products. Choosing two to three
products will allow you to be certain that you have enough
time to research and market your selections. Prior to
launching the product spend some quality time researching
it. What are other people's experiences as customer and as
an affiliate? Remember you are putting your reputation on
the line by marketing these products or services.
 
If you are able to, buy the actual programs you are going
to sell. Use the products or service and test out the
customer support. After all why sell something that you
would not be willing to buy yourself? If you purchase the
products and see the value in them then use this as part of
your marketing strategy. Let your potential buyers know
that you have used the product and what it has done for
you. Share your results with images and graphs if possible
as this brings value and power to your marketing strategy.
 
Once you have used the product do not be afraid to point
out the pros and the cons. The more truthful you are the
better. If you write something that presents a negative
side follow it up with something that is positive. Remember
even though you may not be the product creator you were the
product seller. If the product fell short in a few areas
but excelled in others then let you readers know what to
expect and how they can make the most of the product.
 
Be certain to keep the articles and reviews honest and
truthful and market only those products that you would
purchase yourself. The more creditable your products are
the easier it will be to bring new ones to your reader base
in the future. The most important thing to remember is that
you are looking to build long term income. Do not throw
away all of your marketing efforts for each new magic
bullet that is advertised. Remain persistent and keep your
customers in mind, in time your business will find success.

Every time you visit a web site, your browser stores the
site address (and all the pages visited on that site) in a
history file. This comes in real handy when you're trying
to remember the cool site you were visiting the other day,
or if you want check up on what sites were visited by your
kids.
 
However, if you and your significant other both use the
same computer, and you ordered something special online for
an occassion, such as a birthday, you may not want that
information on file. In both Netscape and Internet Explorer
you can hit CTRL+H to view history. This will allow you to
review all the websites you have visited. Find the one you
don't wish them to see and delete it - simple as that.  You
can even delete an entire week worth of past surfing
information.

3 New Methods For Article Marketing Success
 
It's amazing how much information is circulating around the
Internet on how to conduct an article marketing campaign.
Unfortunately most of these methods focus purely on dumping
large amounts of recycled, re-worded and junk content on
various article directories all over cyberspace, while this
method may garner a few links it certainly falls short of
delivering quality content to readers in your target
market... readers that will be warmed up to your offer and
ready to buy!
 
Unlike the popular methods of the day my approach is quite
the opposite but the results speak for themselves as I
consistently have traffic coming in from articles written
months prior. Here are a few tools from my article
marketing toolbox to incorporate when ramping up your
article marketing efforts.
 
First don't get overzealous when it comes to writing
articles. For each market you are working in start out slow
and submit one or two articles per week maximum! Legitimate
publishers aren't going to want more nor can they publish
more than one article per week or even per month based on
the frequency of their ezine or newsletter publication. The
good news is at this slower rate you shouldn't burned out
cranking one five hundred word article each week helping to
keep the creative juices flowing.
 
You need to mix it up every now and again so your articles
don't get stale! Stop relying completely on the major
article distribution services, especially the ones that
just post your articles to directories. You need to get
your articles out to new sites and by mixing up your
article distribution and building your own list of editors
and publications you will reach an even wider audience by
getting your articles in front of readers that would not
have otherwise seen them. So fire up your favorite search
engine and start searching for new publishers for
submission.
 
Ditch the garbage content that has been used more times
than Seattle's slough. Once an article has been rehashed
and told over and over again it gets old, dull and
lifeless. Worse yet people become hardened to the message
and the lack of passion for the topic fails to shine
through to the reader. This is exactly what happens when
using content like private label rights; it's cheap, poor
quality, sold to everyone and makes its way onto low grade
article directories all over the 'net. The simple truth is
that real editors can see right through the low quality
garbage content and are not going to publish it.
 
Focus on high quality content and continuing to grow your
list of publications, which is really all you need to kick
start an article marketing campaign into high gear. If you
follow these simple guidelines you are on your way to
building an article marketing empire resulting in great
quality traffic and more sales for years to come.

The end of our twelve-month calendar causes many people to
consider starting a business of their own. Seeing yet
another another year fly by makes us wonder about the
'more' to life.
 

It's understandable, especially since companies can no
longer be relied on to provide over the long term. Not so
many years ago, people went to a job & spent a good part of
their lives there. There was a stronger sense of stability,
promise, loyalty. Times have changed.
 

People have now taken on a whole different outlook about
where they stand in the scheme of things. It follows that
the lure of having no one to answer to but yourself can be
very compelling motivation. Making your own hours, having
no pay-raise ceiling, cancelling out daily office
politics...it's pretty appealing.
 

Flash forward to the Internet, where more & more people are
giving thought to landing in the hopes of branching out &
creating their own destinies. It's very exciting, this
Entrepreneurial Spirit. But, there are aspects of 'doing
your own thing' that need to be seriously considered, and
in the heady expectancy of being 'in charge' are sometimes
overlooked.
 

So, before we get into why I'd encourage anyone to give the
Net a try, let's point toward a few other important, real
issues.
 

The Isolation of Individualism. Not suprisingly, most
people consider themselves 'social'. What may come as a
surprise is how social they really are. We are creatures of
habit & for those of us who work a 9-5, we become used to a
certain amount of people-activity.
 

For some, it is very dfficult to give up being able to call
out to a buddy in the next cubicle or dial an extension to
share a joke. Depending on your needs, this can get
lonely.
 

The Security of Structure. Here's a much more common
dilemna than many suppose. It has nothing to do with
laziness or lack of ingenuity, but many people are
uncomfortable when what they are supposed to do & what is
expected of them is not dictated by someone else. We don't
always realize just how programmed we are (and have gotten
used) to follow instructions, not give them out. Being put
into a decision-making position can come as almost
culture-shock. There are some who don't WANT to be in a
leadership role and don't even know it. It's no crime not
to want to be the general, it's just worth thinking about.
 

The Disturbances of Distractions. This is a Biggie!
Entrepeneurs can be very initimidating to other people -
and very annoying. They can also be considered 'available'
- and both these circumstances can cause undue stress. If
you are surrounded with people who think anyone else
wanting personal freedom & independence from what they
themselves are used to and/or accept, the reactions can
range from envy to jealousy to outright anger ("Just who do
you think you are!")
 

Others will take advantage of what they will consider your
'free time'. You might find yourself beseiged with requests
ranging from babysitting to accepting parcel post packages.
Then there are those who don't understand your need for
focus & concentration and will waylay you with endless
conversations, meaningful or not. They aren't necessarily
being spiteful, but they do interfere with the business of
doing business and must be addressed.
 

The Nit-picking Nuisance of Name-Calling. Okay, I'm making
light of it, but really shouldn't. One of the things MOST
frustrating to budding Entrepreneurs are the people around
them who can't wait to tell you that you're crazy, wasting
your time, being indulgent at the expense of others. The
worst, of course, is being told how you'll never make a
dime & how foolish you are to believe hype about the
Internet (of course, it can be anything else). This will be
one of your toughest challenges because ignoring other
people (and their words) has never been easy.
 

Keep this in mind: it does not matter whether you succeed
or not. What matters is that you are willing to try, which
is way more than many people can say based on their own
fears and/or insecurities.
 

It takes guts & imagination to venture into something new
and unexplored. Those who are willing should be applauded!

A logo concept is more than just an affinity for a specific
character. Logos represent a company's brand, and as a
result, serious thought and consideration should be put
into your logo. Before hand be sure to consider, how the
logo will represent your organization and consider the
thoughts that will be associated with specific images that
you consider for your logo. Does the logo embody traits
that can or should be associated with your business? If
your company is global, will the image transcend borders or
will some of your customers find the image offensive and
distasteful?
 
Carefully consider what traits you want for your corporate
image to convey and select a logo that represents these
those traits in a meaningful way.
 
In addition, it is important that the logo be able to:
 
Be Reproduced When selecting a color scheme it is best to
stick with pantone or web friendly colors for web based
businesses. The cost of reproducing a logo with standard
colors will be less than a logo that does not.
 
Be Sized The logo should be easy to resize and therefore
will appear attractive regardless of size. It is often best
to use vector graphics so the design will not be
compromised when resized. Logos are used in a variety of
mediums and it is important that the logo will port to a
variety of sizes to encompass all of your branding needs.
 
Timeless A logo should have a long shelf-life. A logo is
something that should not be changed too frequently. In
fact many of the most recognizable logos are well aged.
 
Simplistic in Nature Logo designs should not be overly
elaborate. Keep the number of colors in the design to a
minimum. This will be beneficial when the image is resized.
Varied Request a variety of formats to make it simpler for
reproducing the logo in a variety of different mediums. If
displaying a logo on the web, it is important the logo be
in a compressed format to make the webpages load faster.
Also, be sure to have a high resolution image for print
media in order that it does not appear pixelated when
printed.
 
Respect Trademarks When designing the logo be sensitive to
trademarked logos. Do not spend the time and energy
building a brand that will ultimately cause consumer
confusion. Avoid a design that may be similar to another
company. The logo design should be different enough that
market place confusion will not occur.
 
Logos will often be used to identify a corporate brand.
Make sure the logo you choose represents your company in
anappropriate manner.
