The Good Luck Goddess Prefers People Who...

I read the "The Richest Man in Bablyon" years ago. The
"Babylonian parables" of wealth are shared. You could
easily read the short book in an hour. For me there was one
principle that stood out above all the others. Look at the
bottom of page 56 and you'll read:

"Men of action are favored by the Goddess of Good Luck."

I'm not sexist so I figure this Goddess favors women of
action too. And besides it's the Goddess of Good Luck, not
the God of Good Luck but those are the exact words.

Contrary to what all the whiners of the world think,
successful people don't become successful purely on luck.
They got off their butts and took action...and the Goddess
of Good Luck favors people who take action. It's not just a
Babylonian parable. It's a fact.

There's an old saying that luck is when opportunity meets
preparation. And everyone is surrounded by such an
abundance of opportunity, it wouldn't be possible to take
advantage of it all. Unfortunately, those that don't
prepare themselves to meet opportunity don't recognize any
of the opportunities available to them and it's unlikely
they'll ever get "lucky." Losers prefer to hang out
together. Apparently they take solace in hearing each
others sob stories.

All they really need to do is model successful people and
they could achieve the same results. They could simply ask
a successful person they know or they could read books at
the local library about the lives of successful people and
notice the commonalities. Both of these methods are free.

Half of success is just showing up in the words of Woody
Allen and I believe him to be correct. Before he was
Indiana Jones or Han Solo, Harrison Ford was a carpenter
with a goal of becoming an actor. His success was not total
"luck." He just showed up at places where actors found work
and it shouldn't be a surprise that he found work as an
extra just because they needed a warm body. That led to a
small role in American Graffiti and a short time later
George Lucas tapped him to play Han Solo in the blockbuster
Star Wars. It's not luck. He took action and the Goddess of
Good Luck favors those who take action.

If you want to make money online and don't even have a
website, one has to wonder if you're really serious.
There's no magic pill or potion. Success starts with a
simple decision to take action. Sites like blogger.com and
wordpress.com allow you to create a blog for free. And if
you'd prefer to have your own personalized blog, you'll be

Flash Drive Removal

Are you one of the many who use a flash drive these days?
When you go to remove your flash drive from the USB port
it's in, how do you do it? Do you just yank it ou and be on
your way? If you do, that's not really the proper way to do
it and if you keep doing it that way, you could end up
ruining your flash drive.

When you're ready to take your flash drive out, double
click on the My Computer icon on your desktop and find the
drive that your flash drive is listed under. (It will
usually be listed under a "Removable Disk" letter). Right
click on that drive and choose Eject. You can then remove
the flash drive with no risks of ruining anything.

There are other ways as well, but this is the easiest and
has the fewest steps.

Why It's So Difficult to Find a Good Domain Name?

The allure of the world wide web with its ability to
quickly open up global markets to smart ecommerce business
owners with product and services to sell but one of the
drawbacks is that the good domains are gone, right? The
days of quickly finding several good .com domains have all
but disappeared and it's getting harder and harder to even
find good domain names with less attractive extensions like
.net, org, and .biz. If you don't act fast, you'll be stuck
with a lowly .info domain.

If you actually believe that, think again because it's far
from the truth. If you just use a little imagination and
creativity, it won't take very long to find a memorable
.com name for your domain but it might take a bit longer
than it did a few years ago. Then again, you might be
surprised to find your first choice still available.

A recent personal experience proved how many good domain
names are ripe for the picking. A domain for a product that
shows you how to create a physical DVD (and have it
produced & shipped) for free was first on my list. After
discovering createdvd.com to be taken, I found my second
choice - CreateDVDProduct.com - available. Next I went
looking for a domain for a product that demonstrates the
ease with which you can create customized covers for CDs &
DVDs. This one was little more difficult but in short order
I found DVDnCDCovers.com. Both DVDs are now being sold on
the respective sites.

CreateVideoProduct.com is the domain I selected for a
product that shows you how to create your own online video
course. That domain was surprisingly easy to find too.
"Webmaster Basics for Internet Entrepreneurs" at
TheWebmasterBasics.com is a popular 3 volume DVD set for
anyone who wants to learn the basic webmaster tasks
required to run a successful Internet business. These
domain names may be considered too long by some but they
describe the products to a "T" and are attracting search
engine traffic already.

I'm not always this lucky. Sometimes it really is difficult
to find a good domain name but with some creativity you'll
eventually find a good one. Try putting a letter or short
word in front of your desired domain name like a or e or i
or the. Use the letter n in place of the word and. Instead
of an s, use a z. I did that with BlogCarnivalz.com. The
key word phrase "blog carnival" is still in the domain. Use
that lump on your neck and I'm sure you can think of lots
of other ideas. It just isn't difficult to find good .com
domain names.

Information product creation never seemed so easy until
running across the Dummies book series in a local Barnes
and Noble. The Dummies series is one of the most commonly
sold book editions as it provides readers with knowledge on
just about any subject matter. The concept of the book
seems almost too simple, provide general knowledge on a
wide variety of topics and reap a profit. Internet
marketers often take for granted how much knowledge they
have and just how many potential customers would love to
access it.

When it comes to the internet you have to think that many
people do not even know how to use their computers to begin
with. I know it sounds crazy but flick on a tv and you will
see the video professor dvd products designed to help the
computer illiterate get online or type papers. The Dummies
series has mastered this art in that it has honed down just
about everything you would like to know and compressed the
information in a user friendly book.

James Brausch recommends you created a DVD in order to do
something very similar. Even better than a book, a DVD can
show you exactly what you need to do in order to perform a
certain task. What you really need to do is stop and take a
look at what your pockets of information are. Can you
provides tips and tricks in web hosting, article writing,
traffic building, seo? If you are not an internet marketer
maybe you have tips and tricks related to weight loss,
healthy living, automotive repair, or just about anyting
else.

The DVD could be marketed in a bricks and mortar
establishment or online. It is entirely possible to set up
a web page in a few hours in order to have your own store
set up to market your own product. Video products can be
created in just a few hours as well so why not take a look
at what could be done today? My first product was created
in roughly two hours, so can yours.

The sooner you start the sooner you can begin to reap the
rewards of running your own firm. If by some miraculous
oddity you have not had the chance to flip through one of
the Dummies books then take a look either online or in any
bookstore. If there was a topic you have an interest in
then chances are it has been written about in one of these
novels. There is absolutely no restriction on what can be
created using this method... so get started!

Forwarding Email

Did you know that forwarding e-mails can bring on a new
batch of spam mail? Well, if you didn't know before, you
know now.

If you aren't careful, forwarding e-mails can pose a big
security threat for you and the earlier recipients of the
e-mail. When you forward an e-mail, make sure you delete
all of the previous addresses first. This way, the person
you forward the message to won't be able to see the
addresses of who all already got it. If you keep all the
e-mail addresses on there, spammers can quickly grab up
that entire list and just go to town.

Everyone will get spammed, including you. And I know you
don't want that to happen!

Ever play 52 Pick-Up? Here's how it goes ...

Two kids (usually siblings) are playing cards. They're
playing by the rules of the game. One kids begins winning
too often and gets pretty cocky about it. Finally, the
other kid remarks, "Let's play 52 Pick-Up. I'll deal," -
throws all the cards in the air - and walks out of the room
saying, "Now you pick 'em up!"

No? You didn't have a bratty little sibling? No problem.
The universe will be glad to fill in and play 52 Pick-Up
with you. The universe deals.

Every once in awhile we receive some type of universal
energies on this planet that throw all the cards in the
air. You'll notice it in your own life - in the lives of
people around you - as well as on a planetary scale - all
at the same time.

People don't do what they're expected to do - or what they
said they would do. Situations don't resolve as intended.
Everything you thought you KNEW flies out the window.
Mechanical things malfunction and technical problems
abound. The expected doesn't happen - the unexpected does.
Recoveries are not made. Tempers fly. Ugly surprises pop
up out of nowhere. You're handed things to deal with that
you don't want. Natural disasters are frequent. Wars
escalate. Worst of all - if you force the issue to get
something you DO want - you'll live to regret it.

Not to worry.

You've heard, "Chaos comes before order?" It's a universal
law. When things need to change for the greater good of
the big picture, chaos ensues. You may not like it, but
you have to pick up those cards before Mom gets home. The
universe will provide the energies for chaos. You get to
bring about order. Choose carefully - and prepare for
change.

Just pick up the cards. Don't start any new games. Know
you're not being singled out. Make decisions - but don't
move on them. Chances are, you'll have another choice
before it's over.

BOTTOM LINE:

When the universe throws your cards in the air - look
around. If you see chaos in abundance all over the planet,
relax. Sit tight and just do the next right thing until
the energies pass. Then - move forward into order.
