The trends that will be presented will aid one in determining whether or not the industry is worth entering.
Start out by opening the Google search and entering Google Analytics in the search area. Once the analytic page has opened enter the industry of interest and click the search button. You will be presented with a clean and clear line graph that displays the search volume as well as whether of not the volume is increasing or decreasing. Pay close attention to the searches that yield trends that are rising as these will be the markets that are gaining strength.
In order to become acquainted with the program, search for multiple products and industries. In your search you may stumble across industries are booming or industries that are lagging. It would behoove you to find several popular results in order to decide what your next marketing venture will be. Do not use your generic search terms as your key words in your campaign as you may need to narrow the keywords a bit further to bring in highly targeted traffic.
Stay away from results that show flat or declining trends and you will be able to earn extra money working online faster than you think possible. If you run out of ideas to search on use sites like Shopzilla to find the most commonly searched for products you will then be able to determine if these items may be of interest. Use Google Analytics any time you seek to enter into new markets and your success will continue.

Getting customers in your site should always be ranked as high as the importance of the quality and the excellence of the product and the services you provide. They should go hand in hand in providing your customers the satisfaction they get in exchange for the money they have paid for them. Customer service should as well be as fantastic so that the customers are provided with the same satisfaction.
One of the ways you can combine marketing and customer service is through opt-in marketing. With an opt-in list you get the opportunity to introduce your site and products on a good time basis. Opt-in marketing strategy is a marketing strategy that is virtually low cost and not time consuming. Here, you get the consent of your website visitors to subscribe to your newsletters and other promotional materials such as catalogs and free promotions.
Opt-in marketing uses your list of subscribers to send e-mail to. These e-mails will contain the materials you will send to your subscribers. It is essential that you present your promotional items in a manner that will catch the interest and the eye of your subscribers to keep them wanting for more. The best way to do this is to provide fun, entertaining and informational articles.
Well written articles full of content and useful information will help in building your list as more subscribers will be enticed to your list. When they have read the samples of your contents in your sites, they will be intrigued as to what will come next. Subscribing to your newsletter will offer them a glimpse of what you have to offer next.
Many sites and companies have captured the importance of articles and this also aids in search engine optimization. As more people are heading towards the internet for their information needs, serving the right information to them via articles in your site will increase the flow of your website traffic. With more traffic, the percentage of your sales will grow. More sales turn into more profit.
There have been the rise for the importance of well written, information enriched and keyword packed articles for the content of their site as well as for newsletters. These articles provide the information many are seeking in the internet. If your site has them, more people will be going to your site for information and research.

If you provide these articles to your customers and you have their trust, they will always go to your site for help and advice as well as for your products.
With the loyalty of these customers, they may subscribe to your opt-in list to receive all the information you have. If you provide them with the answers for that need, they will be happy to be receiving your newsletters as well as other promotional materials to keep them well informed. Others may even forward your newsletters to other people when they find a certain article interesting.
You should provide links in your newsletter so that when other people are reading it and want to read more, they may click on the link and go to your site. With the articles you have in your site that are good, they may decide to sign up as well for your opt-in list. This will build your list and make it bigger.
Make sure to keep your subscribers happy and interested in your newsletters and promotional materials. Keep on posting and writing good articles for your site and newsletter. If you are not interested in writing them or if you just don’t have the time, there are many available well experienced and knowledgeable writers available to help you out. This is an investment that will pay for itself in time.

Lulu is a site for self-publishers essentially that allow book authors and information product developers to upload their material and they will print out a book on demand. They keep statistics about what titles are selling in what categories. You can get a sense of whats selling there for small publishers.

Shopping.com has a Consumer Demand Index showing the hottest searches for what people are actually looking at buying. Consider this. People who search on Google are often looking for free information. You can translate some of those searchers into buyers. The research we're doing is showing what people are actually buying!
Idea Generator #4: eBay http://pulse.ebay.com/
Choose any category in eBay and find out the most popular searches and the biggest eBay stores. What are customers looking for to buy online? eBay (the biggest online shopping destination) shares their stats with you!

If a magazine can be supported and has been in business for a while, that means that people are paying for the magazines and advertisers are making money. The magazines are supported by advertisers. If there aren't enough advertisers in a marketplace to support a magazine, I'd be very nervous about entering that market.

Welcome to all of our new subscribers!:)
A quick update on our friend Hanne Anderson. She is some better according to her companion Brian. She is getting better in some ways however her doctors don't see how she is. If any of you are familiar how MS does, it disables the motor nerve part of the brain to where the body forgets to function.Her motor nerve is completely covered in lesions that are common with MS patients and also her spinal cord from her brain down. It is a miracle that she is still alive. Her doctor said that himself.
If she by some miracle gets well enough to go into a long term care facility but having the disease myself I don't see how she will ever get to go back home. She says when she gets into a long term care place she wants her computer in her room so she can continue publishing. It is my hope that she can infact do that. Stay tuned for Hannes return.

ROMM - The Basics of Search Engine Optimization By Sharon Housley
The formula for webmasters looking for success with the search engines is ROMM (Research, Optimize, Monitor, and Maintain). Here are some helpful tips and details about each portion of the ROMM concept...
Research
Before you even begin your website design, give thought to the navigation, structure, graphic design, and formatting of the URLs. Webmasters should not only have experience as a graphic artist, but should also be well versed in Search Engine Optimization. SEO should not be an afterthought! Websites that are designed with SEO in mind will have more success in ranking well in the search engines.
The link depth in a website should really not exceed 3-4 levels. Any links that are deeper than that (requiring more than 5 clicks from the original domain) will be more difficult, if not impossible, for search engines to crawl.
Design the navigation so that it is intuitive to the user, and will lead them through the website. Use a navigation structure that will allow the website to expand as the content is added. Once you have the general website architecture worked out, determine how often and where new content will be added to the website.
The color scheme of the website should be designed in such a way that valuable content or keywords are not hidden or obscured from the viewer.
Optimize
Always keep in mind that each and every page on a website should have a unique page-specific title and description. The webpage title and description should always relate to the content of the page. Webmasters should make every effort to create continuity between a web landing page and the keyword or keyword phrase that the page is trying to emphasize.
If there are keywords or headings on the webpage that require specific emphasis, use "header" tags to emphasize the words.
Each page should have a different focus, and contain unique content. Redundant content, with only minor changes to emphasize specific keywords, are frowned upon by search engines.
Webmasters are encouraged to use image "alt tags" to describe the image or link that the image refers to. Keywords should be used judiciously.
When formatting URLs, use hyphens rather than underscores. Use related keywords and hyphenated keyword phrases to name sub-pages on a website. In other words, a page containing this article might be named "mydomain.com/basic-seo.htm".
Try to avoid excessively long URLs. If the webpages within a website are being dynamically created, avoid using "ID=" in the URL, as many search engines will not spider the pages -- they will often assume that the 'ID=' refers to a session ID and does not refer to unique content.
Monitor
After launching a website, it is important to evaluate the status of the site in the various search engines. Keep in mind that major search engines will often delay ranking a new website until the search engine deems the website "trustworthy". Build links to the website and monitor the site's progress in major search engines for critical keywords and phrases.
Take a look at the web logs to determine the popularity of pages within a website. Review the website logs on a regular basis to determine any trends.
Maintain
Maintain the website by optimizing webpages that are not performing well, and by adding new content on a regular basis. Websites should be constantly expanding, and should be updated regularly.
If the new content is something you wish to have spidered quickly, be sure to add it to a web page that is already spidered on a regular basis.
Successful websites require constant monitoring, maintenance and optimization.
